Panorama
A wide-angle image created by stitching multiple overlapping photos together, typically used for landscape and interior photography.
A panorama is a technique for capturing expansive scenes that exceed the field of view of a standard camera lens. By taking multiple overlapping photographs and merging them with stitching software, photographers can produce images spanning 180 degrees or more of horizontal coverage.
Modern smartphones include built-in panorama modes that automatically stitch frames as the user pans the device. The resulting aspect ratio typically ranges from 2:1 to 10:1, depending on how wide the sweep is.
Panoramic images tend to have large file sizes, so applying the image compression tool before web publishing is essential. If visible seams or distortion appear at the edges, the crop tool can trim uneven borders for a cleaner result. For a detailed creation guide, see How to Create Panorama Images.
