Screen Recording

A feature that records on-screen activity as a video file, commonly used for creating tutorials, documenting procedures, and capturing gameplay.

Screen recording captures on-screen activity as a video file. It is widely used for software tutorial creation, gameplay capture, web conference recording, and documenting bug reproduction steps.

Windows 10+ offers recording via Win + G (Game Bar), macOS provides Cmd + Shift + 5 for screen capture, and iPhone supports recording through a Control Center button. The standard output format is MP4 at Full HD (1920x1080) resolution.

To extract still frames from recordings for thumbnails or documentation, save specific frames as screenshots. Adding annotations to extracted images is easy with the text overlay tool, and unnecessary areas can be removed using the crop tool for cleaner presentation.
