About This Tool

Convert HEIC images from iPhone to widely-compatible JPG format. Supports batch conversion of up to 20 files simultaneously. Adjust compression with the quality setting.

Tips

HEIC is Apple's high-efficiency format adopted since iOS 11, achieving equivalent quality at roughly half the file size of JPG. However, Windows and many web services cannot open HEIC files directly. Quality setting of 92% or higher is recommended - below 90% may produce visible degradation. Converted JPG files may be larger than the original HEIC due to JPG's lower compression efficiency; this is expected and not a quality issue.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are my iPhone photos saved as HEIC?

Since iOS 11, iPhones save photos in HEIC (HEIF), a high-efficiency format that keeps the same quality at roughly half the file size of JPG. You can switch to JPG capture under Settings > Camera > Formats > Most Compatible.

Why won't HEIC files open on Windows or in other apps?

Many operating systems and apps still lack native HEIC support - on Windows an additional extension may be required. Converting to JPG makes your photos open almost anywhere.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, and your images never leave your device.

Can I convert multiple HEIC files at once?

Yes. Select or drag and drop multiple files to convert them to JPG in one batch.
